So to everyone who said you have to go to Luling, we have done just that.
It was great. Joe, the pitmaster, was a gracious host and we enjoyed getting time to see him and his crew work their magic. The food was great, all of it, but the sausage stood out for a number of us, perfectly coarse without falling apart, and delicious.
Matthew enjoyed himself a tasty Big Red and then sat down to help some City Makret crew sort beans for a while. He got pretty good at it.
